Report on activities of the NS Section in 2006 - 2007

Rules
Since 2006 top competitions of the NS Section were ruled by the rules of the Section NS 2004, Option 2006. The rules were for the first time available also in German language and its English version as well.
Top sport events

2006

In August 19 till 26, 2006 the European Championship has been organized by our Polish colleagues in the Polish town Glowno. Altogether 79 seniors and 46 juniors took part in it. However, due to the problems of the models registration negatively influenced whole atmosphere of the championship.

2007
The 6th World Championship of our section was held in Petersburg in July 25 till August 2, 2007. Whole championship had very positive atmosphere and no protest occurred. 100 seniors and 57 juniors have represented altogether nine countries. Referees from 7 countries took part in this event. Meeting of the Section accepted lesser changes of the rules. The most important among them was approving of the English version of the rules as the official language of the NS Section, effective from 2008. We are expecting more changes as well in the newly created NSS Group.
Vision 2008 – 2009
We have an official convener of the European Championship 2008! Our Polish colleagues showed their interest to organize this Championship in the town Pabianice (near Lódź), between 26th of Juni and 2nd July 2008.
Preliminary our German colleagues showed their interest in organizing World Championship 2009 in Pirna. I believe, that thanks its geographical location and the proximity of the Czech and as well Polish borders Pirna is extremely suitable place for holding of our event.
Work of the Technical commission must be focused on further improving of the NSS Class Rules and how to make our competitions more attractive for eventual hosting countries as well.
Propositions
I propose to put in the shortest time all valid rules of NAVIGA on the web side of our organization. It is not acceptable that our competitors do not know the rules and more, lack of information can discourage also eventual newcomers.
My second proposition is to create 3-members team of referee during classification of the models construction examination. Team of 5 referees, what we have till now, creates big financial burden for the organizer of every top event.
