Report of the Official Section Meeting FSR

Opening speech by Peter Schaft - Apology of Harry Jaartsveld (absent because of urgent family matters)
Filling in of the presence list (registration of the different countries) - take notice of change of adress
After the last meeting in Courville (1998) - translation of the rules in English - translation has been send to all the countries.
All the changes of the rules are mentionned in the new english translation

Elections section leaders - asking for new candidates - no propose
Mr. Hofbauer propose Mr. Schaft to continue with his job - each country gives his agreement
Result: Mr. Schaft is elected and receives a very good comment on the job he has done in the last years
Ian Folkson and Harry Jaartsveld are also elected to continue

European Championship 2001 - no candidates
Proposal from Germany: international FSR-V race in Holland,
Germany or Belgium in replacement of the European Championship (3 days)
International race FSR-H and O in Sweden
World Championship 2002 - Belchatov Polen - presentation of the lake

Proposals that have been send to the members of Naviga :
Answer from Italy-Sweden and Great Britain received
Answer from France (8-8-2000)
Proposal from Great Britain - Ian Folkson reads the proposal of his
Country : - splitting of the world
Championship in 2 parts (FSR-V 1 week and FSR-H & 0 also 1 week)
Answer from Italy on the prososal of Great Britain = agree
Answer from France: also agree with proposal GB
Proposal Hungary: agree with the splitting, adding request for 5 participants/country/class
Voting: - for the speit : result --- 19 votes yes
4 votes no
RESULT AFTER VOTING: SPLIT ! !
As much days as before - everybody needs training and a break
Voting - 5 participants or stay a 3 participants/country/class
Result : 15 votes - 3 participants
7 votes - 5 participants
1 abstention
RESULT AFTER VOTING : no changes = 3 participants
Letter from Sweden : Ian Folkson reads the letter -
- Translation of the rules in the 3 official languages on INTERNET:
explanation by Mr. Hofbauer - cost price 300.000 AS - to expencive
answer : no translation on Internet !
Rulebook on disk - each country can have 1 disk (updates version in English) for free = without payment !
Letter from Sweden: mistakes in the English rulebook
- most of the mistakes are: type mistakes, capitals missing
- all the other remarks are not changing anything on the rules
- " SURFACE DRIVE " is correct in the text
- rule 3-4-1 0: has no longer value because is was for the class F 1 - rule will be taken out in the futur
Section leader OFFSHORE - necessary yes or no - after voting 20 votes for yes - during the World Championships Mr. Paul Firmin
Concerning proposals and rules for the offshore --- meeting just for the Offshore people - changes of the rules is possible after meeting!

- Each participant needs at least 4 crystals = identical to the inscription form
- no excuses anymore ! ! !

- Problems with juniors class FSR-V 15 cc - less than 12 years - conclusion in the preparation area !
FRS-V 15 cc -junior must already been 12 years old to take part of the
Race - For the future: AGE MUST BE ON THE REGISTRATION FORMS

- FSR-OFFSHORE -WORLDCHAMPIONSHIPS 2002:
only 3 participants: country/class

- REMARKS FROM: South Africa - communication with the organisation of the World Championships 3 or 4 months before the event : no answers on the e-mails, telephone calls: problems with the language Why 2 participnts of the same country in the same heat ? ? ? ? Changes in the time table : hold on to new indications
